Testing...Testing... 1...2...3

I've been a Professional Photographer my entire adult life.

One of the many things I photograph is weddings... And OF COURSE every bride is beautiful.

Sometimes I love to just take a random photo without telling my subject what to do.

Before photographing the bride and groom, I wanted to check my background, lighting and color.
It was kind of a test, so to speak.

I captured this image of what I think is a very beautiful, natural and pleasant expression from the bride.

Oftentimes, those are the best.

Photography is a business

A nice graphic with interesting information. I'm all for new people wanting to "go pro" in the industry. Just remember a professional photographer is a business person who sells a product and a needed service. There is no prestige in the starving artist syndrome.

I'm happy to say that classic bridal portraiture will never go out of style.
Who wouldn't want a little posing direction to look better, especially on their wedding day?

That's why I'm happy to say we still practice and teach the fine art of body positioning as it relates to photography.

Janess and Adam get married in Gross Pointe, Michigan::Detroit area wedding photography

What a great day we had, spending time with Adam and Janess, their families and friends.

Thanks to Tom at Fairytale Productions for doing what looked like a fabulous job on the video. I can't wait to see it.

As for DJ's, Todd Belanger from Sound Dog Productions kept the dance floor rockin'!

A New Logo -FINALLY

The logo design has been a "fluid" project and is finished just in time to grace our newly designed website which will make its debut next month.

Jaclyn's Bat Mitzvah {Detroit area wedding and event photographer}

We had the pleasure of photographing Jaclyn's Bat Mitzvah a few weeks ago at the JCC in West Bloomfield.

Image Selected for Book Cover

How awesome is this?

One of our bridal images was selected to grace the cover of the new PPA Showcase Collection book.

This 200 page book features a cross section of images selected to be displayed in the PPA International General Collection Exhibit.

Our image of Ann Marie Moran was selected from almost 2000 entries for its artistic and commercial appeal.

The image was created in the living room of Ann Marie's Royal Oak home. I really enjoyed the vibrant colors of the room and love the echo of the pose in the painting behind her.

New Jewelry Added

We are adding a line of Mother of Pearl pendants and earrings.

Lauren and Jason - Wedding at Knollwood

A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of photographing Lauren and Jason's wedding at Knollwood Country Club in West Bloomfield.

You could not ask for a better day! Blue skies, perfect temperature and low humidity. Almost unheard of for August in Michigan.

I loved the light outdoors at the club. We were fortunate enough to create all of the images prior to the ceremony in the beautiful surroundings that Knollwood offers.

Bruce at Breath of Spring did his usual amazing job with the flowers and the couple and their guests danced the night away to the sounds of Intrigue. Randy Burgess and the staff at Knollwood made the evening one to remember, while my friends at Tone-E Creative Films captured all the excitement of the evening on video.

Shira and Jordan

What a great time we had with Shira and Jordan, their friends and family.

It was a gorgeous day for a wedding at Temple Israel - But not as gorgeous as the bride.

The day was made beautifully memorable by a host of people working together including, Kathie Henk, Christine and Crew at VTI Productions and of course the party band in Detroit, Simone Vitale.

Hopefully Shira and Jordan can take a moment from their Hawaiian honeymoon to enjoy a few memories from their wedding.

Sara and Geoff

Sarah and Geoff were married at the Somerset Inn a couple of weeks ago. The venue was lovely and Hollye Mackler did a great job on the flowers as usual.

Sara wore her grandmothers wedding dress - which is absolutely awesome!

I Do

September 19, 2004 was a day not unlike today. The sun was shining and there was brisk breeze blowing as we prepared to publicly join as husband and wife.

There was excitement in the air. I can close my eyes and think about the day and all of the events like it were yesterday. Still, memory begins to fade as time marches on.

I'm so excited and blessed to do what I do (Photography). I am able to capture joyous events and milestones in the lives of our clients and friends. This has become even more "real" to me after looking through our wedding images five years later.

I was able to relive all the joy and happiness that we shared with our family and friends. But most importantly, I remembered the love that I felt for my beautiful bride.

This post is dedicated to you Tammi. I love you more today than I did 5 years ago. If I was asked the question again today, to have you and to hold you from this day forward, my answer would be an emphatic "I DO".

Lindsey and Assaf

We had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Lindsey and Assaf last Sunday. It was an absolutely gorgeous day... not to be matched by the gorgeous couple!

I've known and have been photographing Lindsey her entire life so it was very special for me to share in her marriage to Assaf. Together they are just so darn cute.

We worked with Alex Bitoff and his crew from Fifth and Main Productions who produced an awesome on the fly video recap. Also present was Dee Dee Hoffman, Gerychs Flowers, Paul Kohn Catering and of course the Simone Vitale Band.

Olivia and John

We had a blast photographing Olivia and John's wedding.

They got married last year... OK, so it was week and a half ago on December 27th :).

It's hard to believe that it was 60 degrees in December! Anyway, Olivia was beautiful and John was a handsome groom. Together, they were stunning. Here are a few images from the day. The rest should be online shortly.
