Alexis and MacKenzie

Maribeth and Rob have given me the pleasure of photographing them for years. From the days of "Dr. Knight's" Intern and Residency portraits at Botsford Hosptial, to their wedding and family portraits and everything in between.

We had the the choice to photograph the girls in the studio or on location at Orchard Lake Country Club. We chose the club - and I'm glad we did.

The weather and lighting were awesome!

Here's the slideshow from the session.

Ashcraft Family

Fall in Michigan is a beautiful time for outdoor photography - provided, of course it doesn't rain... or snow for that matter.

Last weekend we had to gorgeous days for portraits, so we took advantage of them by photographing the Ashcraft family.

It's amazing how fast these kids are growing up! One day we're doing baby portraits, teh next the kids are both in schiool. Where does the time go?

Well, we had a great time photographing these guys and Birmingham Country Club made a great background!

Funny Wedding Video

For all you wedding photographers out there...and anyone who just likes weddings, I think you'll enjoy this video.

Not a traditional "first dance" by any means. It's worth the 5 minutes it takes to watch it.

I would love to find the creator..... Let me know what you think about it.

New Wedding Slideshow

I was reviewing some of the weddings that we photographed this year and was really pleased that we were able to share the joy with so many families.

I was looking for some new images to use in a sample album and couldn't decide on just one wedding! So rather than make a dozen new albums, I thought I would put together a short slideshow with few images from each of my favorite weddings.

Enjoy!

Nicki and Jerry

It has been a whirlwind of weddings, Bar Mitzvahs and portrait sessions over the the last few weeks which is why it has taken me so long to post this.

Nicki and Jerry had an incredible wedding at Temple Israel a few weeks ago.

What a gorgeous day to get married. The ceremony took place in back of the Temple under a canopy overlooking a beautiful fountain.

We have been looking forward to this wedding ever since we found out that Nicki and Jerry were engaged. They're just such a sweet couple who truly love each other and it really shows!

I'm really excited to post these few images form the wedding as we finish up printing the preview magazine.

Mazel tov (congratulations) Nicki and Jerry!

Olivia and John

The rain held off long enough last Friday for us to create some awesome engagement portraits for Olivia and John.

We met them at the Governor Warner Mansion in Downtown Farmington.

Although most people think that it's best to photograph people outdoors when it's bright and sunny, lighting is really more flattering when it's overcast.

That's exactly what we had. Soft, beautiful even lighting to photograph Olivia and John.

Here are a few images from the session. Enjoy the slide show.

We can't wait for the wedding:)
Enjoy

Rachel and Aaron

When I heard that Rachel was getting married I was sooooo excited! You see, I've been photographing Rachel since she was a little girl and I have had the opportunity to watch her grow to become a beautiful bride.

I only got to meet Aaron the day of the wedding, but as soon as I did I knew he was perfect for Rachel. Aaron (or Steve as the Greenbaum boys call him) is a warm, caring individual who is really an all around nice guy... a real credit to his parents.

The weather last Tuesday was absolutely perfect for the wedding at Shaarey Zedek in Southfield. So atypical for August in Michigan!

I can't wait to get back to editing the wedding images because I know Rachel and Aaron and their families are going to love them.

Amber and Jesse

We had the distinct pleasure of creating beautiful images of Amber and Jesse and their families as they were married at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester last Friday.

The day was absolutely gorgeous and the hotel made for some really pretty portraits!

Tammi and I are so pleased that Karen (Jesse's mom) selected us to capture all of the excitement and romance of the day. That's quiet a compliment considering that she is a photographer herself.

Check out Karen's website.

I hope we have the opportunity to share more milestones with Amber and Jesse as they begin their new life together as husband and wife.

Gadi & Jeana

I love to watch families grow. I've had the privilege to photograph all of the Beneson's Sr. Portraits ... and now Jeana's wedding.

Jeana and Gadi were married at Shaarey Zedek in Southfield on a gorgeous summer afternoon. The ceremony took place outside on July 13th, which was a warm, sunny afternoon.

We really enjoyed working with the Beneson's & Rivkin's but really loved photographing Jeana & Gadi together... they're just so darn cute together!

Below are a few images from the day.

Ann Marie and Jim

I guess it was a really good thing that Ann Marie was looking for a job earlier this year. During her online job search, she stumbled across our website.

The wedding took place on July 11th at St. Mary's in Greek Town. One of those georgeous old churchs in downtown Detroit. The reception followed at the Detoit Yacht Club, on Belle Isle. The day was amazing! What a great backdrop for photos.

We also got to see one our favorite wedding bands, Simone Vitale. Simone actually taught Jim how to play guitar. How cool is that?

I was so excited after the wedding, that I couldn't wait to view the images and started working on them that night! WOW... we got some very cool images for Ann Marie and Jim. The love that they feel for each other was so easy to capture and is expressed in the images that we created. I'm soooooo happy that they allowed us to share in their special day.

Jennifer and Steve

Last weekend we photographed Jennifer and Steve at one of my favorite locations in the metro
Detroit area, Kirk in the Hills. It has to be one of the most beautiful churches in Michigan.

The reception was at the Max M Fisher Music Center in Detroit.

(That's Max in the middle, by the way. Taken at his 90th birthday party)

We had the opportunity to work with Don & Joanne Pham from Take 1 Productions. Don and Joanne are not your typical videographers! They have a style that resembles a Hollywood/MTV production. They rightfully refer to themselves as cinematographers.

Check out their website and see if you agree!

Below are a few of the images we created for Jennifer and Steve. Enjoy!
