Health Care? Really?

People often rely on the government for what they think is health care.

Have you checked your "health care" program lately?
We don't have a health care program in this country. What we have is a sick care program. When you get sick you go get a patch to make it better.  It has nothing to do with becoming or remaining healthy.

Guess what I found out? You can't trade in your body when it wears out, like you do a car. So doesn't it make sense to take care of it?
Hmmmm....

Are you a Professional Photographer?

I'm really curious.

What constitutes a "Full time Professional Photographer"?
Is it training?
Hours worked?
Income?
A cool, hip blog with underexposed, sun flared images?

Let me know your thoughts.

A Passion for Personal Development

Time Management.

Do you ever feel "busier than a one armed paper hanger"?
Unfortunately, in this fast paced society in which we live, we are finding more and more things, activities and to-do's to fill our days.

When we focus on the massive list that most of us create for ourselves, it can be overwhelming and a source of stress in our lives.
That tends to cause us to think about and focus on the negatives in our day instead of the positives.

Change your self talk. Why? Because thoughts become things.  Stop shoulding on yourself with the things you HAVE to get done.

Watch this personal development video featuring Nancy Matthews as a way to shift your thinking from things you have to do to things you want to do and remove a source of stress from your day.

Check back every week. The content changes with practical information from top professionals in their fields on topics ranging from:

Goal setting
Time management
Personal development
Business development
Leadership development
Financial management
Personal motivation, and more.

Leave a comment if you'd like to learn how you can have the new video delivered to your mobil device, weekly.

PAWS Shows Up at Wedding {David M Deutsch, Master of Photography, Wedding Photography}

Look who made a surprise visit at Emmy and Tony's wedding. It's PAWS from the Detroit Tigers!
He danced and partied with family and guests and even posed for a few photo-ops.

What a great time and AWESOME surprise for the bride and groom :)

In case you are wondering... Paws is the one on the right. Just thought I would clear that up.

A Healthy Energy Drink

You've seen all those Monster energy drinks that claim to give you 5 hours of energy and even make you a RockStar if you drink them, right?

Well, I've found one that is WAY more healthy for you and doesn't contain harmful chemicals or obscene amounts of caffeine either.

Check out the info on the ViSalus blog for a fact sheet on GO. You'll see why it's my pre-workout drink of choice.

Photography is a business

A nice graphic with interesting information. I'm all for new people wanting to "go pro" in the industry. Just remember a professional photographer is a business person who sells a product and a needed service. There is no prestige in the starving artist syndrome.

Another of Emmy

I'm happy to say that classic bridal portraiture will never go out of style.
Who wouldn't want a little posing direction to look better, especially on their wedding day?

That's why I'm happy to say we still practice and teach the fine art of body positioning as it relates to photography.

For my students...
How did I light this??

Doesn't Emmy look GORGEOUS?!?!
Working on finishing the images now :)

I'm Back!

It's been a while!
Time to blow the dust off of this blog and start posting.
